College Affiliation & Student Program 2008

By forging strong links between manufacturers, Arb Colleges and Students, ISA UK+I have created an effective strategic link between manufacturers who believe in their products and colleges training the incoming generation of Arboricultural students.

We have created a new category of membership – ISA UK+I Affiliate College membership.

This new category of membership will cost participating colleges £500 in 2008 and that subscription will entitle their students to join ISA for the amazingly low price of just £10. Of course we still have our normal Student's membership price of £25 for all other full time Arb students so they are still well catered for, just not as well as ISA UK+I Affiliate College students.

Bear this in mind. Even though we have broken the joining options down into UK+I Chapter membership and a separate add on ISA international membership, the student membership is for the full UK+I and ISA memberships together. That means the full package of joining both their local chapter and the further benefits of joining the main ISA all comes for that incredible value.

When you consider that they will get a valuable free gift as well, it becomes a ridiculously easy decision for the student.

ISA has always taken the position that students should receive extremely attractive access to membership because we believe that once they have seen what the ISA can offer them personally as individuals; they will be likely to aspire to becoming long term professional members as soon as they can afford it.

If that wasn't good enough, to make the whole package work for all parties, participating colleges will receive a bundle of Arb equipment that is currently worth over £1000 retail from the manufacturers like Marlow Ropes, ISC Karabiners, Oregon chain and ARBessentials. These are all items that the college would otherwise have to fund themselves and so represent a real saving. Then of course the Affiliate Colleges will have a page dedicated to their promotion on the new website www.isa-arboriculture.org/affiliatecolleges and a listing on the relevant page of the re-branded Tree-line magazine

In total, we believe this package represents a valuable link between industries serving the Arb sector, Arboriculture Training providers and the next generations of Arborists entering this industry.
